Restaurant Mason is situated underneath the Essington Apartments on Hunter Street, Newcastle (previously the Oishi Japanese Restaurant and Atlas Café). Chris Thornton took hold of the space in November 2011 and after the latest reincarnation, a complete refurbishment was required.
